Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

Records and photos are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud and sync is enabled, they also sync to your private iCloud database.

How does iCloud sync work?

Sign in to iCloud on both devices with the same Apple Account and keep iCloud Drive enabled. Changes sync in the background. The app never sends your data to our servers.

My photos are missing on another device

Photo files can take longer than text records to download. Keep both devices online, open the animal's photo page, and wait a moment. Check that both devices use the same Apple Account.

How do I export my records?

Open the Me tab and use the CSV export options for feeding, weight, or shed records, then choose where to send the file.

How do I turn on reminders?

Create a feeding reminder, an incubation reminder, or a custom task. The app asks for notification permission when you save the first reminder. You can change the time in the Me tab.

How do I delete data?

Delete individual animals or records from their detail pages, or use “Clear all data” in the Me tab to remove everything on the device. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Every feature except iCloud sync works without a network connection.

Which species are supported?

Any species you keep. Profiles include a species group, morph, and care targets for temperature and humidity; you can enter your own values.

How does Pro work?

Terrarium Logbook is free to download and includes up to 2 animals. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited animals, breeding and lineage tools, and CSV export.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases, or use Me > Pro > Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that bought Pro.
